Babies & Bellies

03/09/09 | Babies & Bellies, Families, Kids

One of my most favourite things to shoot ever. Could you find a more gorgeous looking pregnant woman or two any more adorable kids? Thanks to my sweet sister-in-law for sharing her beautiful (and ever-growing!) belly and family with the world.

Winter

03/07/09 | Travel
Spending most of our winters in Utah, there are often days too gorgeous to not capture with the camera. There’s something so serene and peaceful about winter. It’s interesting how nature’s darkest and sleepiest time still manages to exude so much beauty. Such is the beauty of God’s promises even in the midst of the bleakest moments. Be well in your Journey today, in whatever place it may find you. Good or bad. Take a moment to acknowledge the beauty around you.

Fall

10/02/08 | Travel

it’s been a busy end of summer for us. lots of weddings, lots of travel, and of course, lots and lots of photos to sort through! my hope is to post some of those in the next few days as i catch up on work, jet lag and sleep. ryan and i are currently in deer valley, utah, our second home, enjoying the GORGEOUS fall colours and the cool autumn climate! –quite a change from the warm and tropical climate of hawaii we were in just 4 days ago! i will try to post some photos from that soon too.

if you’ve never had the chance to catch fall in its most colourful corners of our beautiful nation, you really must put it on your to-do list! having grown up in southern california, you don’t experience seasons like you do in other parts of the country and world. i really feel i’ve missed out on autumn’s breathtaking and fleeting splendor! until now. never in my life have i seen colours like this! it’s so majestic and so, almost…holy. it really takes your breath away. our God is so artistic in His creation.

here are a few frames i shot early this morning. enjoy a glimpse of heaven. be well in your Journey.

Summer

08/30/08 | Travel, Wedding & Bridal Couture

Well so far I’ve done an absolutely horrible job at keeping this blog up to date. I’m sorry. With my last posting being a month and a half ago, so much has happened it would take forever to fill you in. Mostly this summer has just been one big long trip, with the occasional weekend home here and there. Within the last 4 weeks I think I’ve been to 7 or 8 States…most recently to sunny Texas this past weekend to shoot a wedding in the Dallas/Ft Worth area. So in between layovers, airport lounges and the work that always seems to be piled up as soon as you hit the ground, it has been a busy summer. Did I already say that already? But truly I wouldn’t want it any other way and it certainly keeps life so fun and spontaneous!

Dallas was such a wonderful shoot though and my sweet couple, Chris and Mandi, were just a blast to work with. Assisted by a fantastic Dallas/FW photographer named Heather Thorne, (www.heatherthorne.com) I really feel we captured some amazing moments!

In additional news, I’m in the process of completely overhauling my website with a brand new one soon to be launched in the next few weeks. You will definitely hear more about that!

Also, I’ve been asked to be a part of a new book venture, exclusively featuring my work for an upcoming book series! As soon as more details are in place I will share more information! It’s incredibly exciting though and I’m really honored to be chosen for such a fun project!

Till next time….(next month?!?) Here are a few photos of Chris & Mandi from my shoot last weekend in Dallas. Enjoy and thank you again for sharing in my Journey!

Back & Beyond

07/09/08 | Travel

it’s almost been a MONTH since we’ve returned from our trip & wow time just doesn’t like to sit still. i know i said i’d be posting additional photos in the “days to come” as well as a new gallery on my website. well, if you’ve checked this blog even a few times since my last posting or my official website at all, you’ll notice i’ve done all of none of those things. why not you ask? i don’t know. it’s like as soon as we touched down in san diego it’s been go go go without time to even really process things, let alone sift through the gazillions of photos we took. only TODAY did i finally get to sit down at my desk and do something other than weddings, headshots, babies or product work…i finally got to go through MY stuff! so, i really do have every intention of posting more photos of the trip very very soon.
in additional news, my amazing & wonderful husband has already begun scouting locations for my next expo & we’ve got some fantastic prospects in the little italy area, so we’ll see what pans out. if you have any suggestions or contacts in this area, i’d welcome your calls! in the mean time, i’ll leave you with two photos. the first one shows what happens when you stick me in the cold, and the second is just one of trillions that i’ve grown to love from our time in italy. thanks for sticking with me in this Journey! enjoy!
